There are no upcoming Meetups.
This group is an assembly of gamers of all types (board games, card games, computer and console games) who live in and around Manchester. Subsets of the group who share gaming interests get together to play some games. As a member, you can arrange a game night featuring whatever games you're into. This can happen at people's houses, restaurants/bars, stores, and other more creative locations (when the weather is nice, a meetup in the park sounds pretty fun).

We started out as Dr. Who Club, and watch that at most of our Meetups, but a lot of us are fans of other series like Torchwood, Downton Abbey, Sherlock, Misfits, Red Dwarf and other BBC Series. We have had a few Downton Abbey Meetups already. What is Dr. Who? As you may know, Doctor Who and his companions travel through space and time in the Tardis, having many great adventures. It's listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest-running science fiction series. The classic series r …

If you are fed up of hanging around with people who's only idea of fun is computer games, boozing, snoozing or staring mindlessly at a TV for hours on end. If you would like something more productive to do with your free time, something more interesting and more stimulating for your eyes, hands and creative mind. If you just don't have enough art related activities through the day and need to pack in an extra couple of hours outside of school or work. If you'd like to meet like minded individual …

We love everything technology (old or new), are willing to wait in line to see the new Burton, Cameron, Jackson, Scott, or Spielberg flick on opening night (with no shame for smuggling in snacks from the grocery store) and love role-playing in whatever form it takes: pen and paper, live-action or online. We have clothing (not costumes) in our closet that would fit well in the 16th century or the 23rd century. We can master any interest that piques our curiosity, whether it be making crème brule …

The first time, I did Architecture Katas was with
Ted Neward at a workshop he hosted at
NFJS 2011 in Boston. I quite liked the experience. It was fun and very educational.
Three things I liked the most about the workshop was
A) I exercised my brain in way that I normally don't get a chance to d …

Artisans assemble! The Artisans Network is for those looking to get together discussing ideas and/or seeking help with individual & group projects concerning costumes that are related to gaming, anime, sci-fi, halloween, movies, cartoons, etc... We've started this group because we realize that there's a lot of creative people out there that are building these works of art. Whenever we pass by or attend conventions (Comic/Gaming) or get togethers (Halloween/Themed Parties) and see the work that …
Blender 3D is a free and open-source 3D platform capable of competing with many established professional 3D content suites, but Blender has traditionally suffered from lack of visibility and a smaller userbase than other platforms. Boston Blender was formed to unite Blender users throughout the northeast to learn together, share our projects, and spread the word about this powerful tool. This group is open to experienced Blenderheads and newbies alike—come learn and create with us.
